A decent game, between two very good sides. The first half had few clear cut chances, but both keepers did well when called upon. Second half was much better, Brown made a few fine stops, but we should of won. Firstly, Ferrell smashed a long range drive against the bar, before, both Webb and Gulliver missed golden opportunities. Travis created an opening for Webb, but despite having virtually an open goal, he put it wide. Then Gulliver swivelled in the box, and from close range, was superbly denied by on loan Fulham shot stopper Bastista.
Anyway, a decent point, but one can only feel that it should of been three. We go on though, without Beckwith, and Tamika who came off with a groin injury apparently, Gulliver led the backline wonderfully. He was up against Onibuje, a 6 foot 7 striker, and Gulliver had him on a plate. He's fast becoming one of Hereford's best, and most consitent players.
Finally, I would like to pay tribute to the Hereford fans today. Despite it being New Years Eve last night, you may not blame a few for not coming, or those who came to sit quietly, making little noise. But they didn't. They made a shedload of noise, and carried on throughout the game. Bullsnews reports there being 426 away fans, to be honest, it looked a lot lot more.

A very good point to end a pretty successful holiday period. Three points on boxing day against brizzle probably would have been expected by a lot of people, but a great win at Notts made that draw less hard to take. One point outside the play-offs to start the new year... so I think we can all agree, 2006 has been an amazing and memorable year for HUFC. Lets try and maintain that standard for 2007! Keep it up lads!!! ;D
